Nestled in Erie County, New York, this community’s roots stretch back to the early 19th century, though a precise founding date remains elusive. Initially a sparsely populated area within the town of Hamburg, it gradually evolved as settlers recognized the fertile land and strategic location. The name "Orchard Park" is a straightforward reflection of its early agricultural identity – the area was heavily planted with fruit orchards, primarily apple and peach trees, a legacy that still subtly influences the town's character. The arrival of the Buffalo, Hamburg and Concord Railroad in the 1880s proved pivotal, facilitating trade and spurring residential growth.
